in counseling

as a counselor, we should respect our clients from multicultural background:

it is very importance to counselor to be aware of the differences.

APPRECIATE THE SIMILARITY
&
RESPECT THE DIFFERENCES

Journal:Malaysian culture

Malaysian cultures

That day I learnt about malaysian culture and all of the students were very actively participated. This topic is quite interesting because either we agree or not with our culture and what is the impact to the counselor. Once again I have thought about Malay people that really want to takecare our own relationship with others. We do not want something happen that will ruin the good relationship in a blink of an eye for example me myself, I prefer to not say something bad anything about my friend, I will cover thier aib, I prefer to make my friend happy rather than sad and I willing to do everything that i can for her. Once again, all of the statements that we discussed in the class was truly relate the malay culture. That is my opinion.

Another example is my mother. She is a nice woman towards all of the guests that came to our house. Although she is very busy with her work to do all kinds of cookies but she still entertains the guest by preparing them food and drinks even the guest is our neighbour, relatives and villagers, that really impressed me. She will smile to them with all her heart. Whenever we had a ceremony like thanksgiving or makan-makan with  other family or my uncles and aunties, she will spend  a lot of money in order to prepare them food and dishes. She will not let the entire guests go back to thier home with hungry stomach...
